Who's Who in Meat is a comprehensive directory published annually by the Meat Trade Institute and Stevens Publishing Company. It contains the most detailed information available on the meat and poultry industry in North America.

HISTORY:

The Who's Who in Meat was first published in the early 1970's by the Meat Trade Institute, headquartered in New York City. The organization hired John Calcagno, a high-ranking official from the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service, to act as executive director. The organization saw an immediate need to network with fellow industry members and to seek out the most effective and competitive suppliers to the meat & poultry trade. Who's Who in Meat was born.

The Who's Who in Meat is now compiling its 35th Edition. The Directory is published every year and a half. Hard copy editions contain 300+ pages of information on thousands of North American Meat & Poultry Dealers, as well as thousands of meat & poultry industry suppliers.
